Real life testing on a live site

Not all serial data requirements are the same. Particular attention needs to be made to baud rates when supporting 3rd party devices and this is why it is critical to ensure 100% connectivity without data loss. Fortunately, Southwest Microwave have a functioning test site at their UK HQ and it was this facility that was used to test the capability and compatibility of the AMGFIB Serial Data over Fiber Transceiver Units.

Rigorous transmission testing was carried out on the Southwest Microwave PM II (Processor Module) and the CM II-N (Control Module II-network) employing a pair of AMGFIB-1SD-3CC modules for the Serial Data to Fiber connection.

We’re delighted to confirm that AMG Systems, thanks to Southwest Microwave and the completion of their site testing, are fully compatible with Southwest Microwave Serial Data devices when requiring an extended distance connection using Fiber.
