Multiple IP cameras over one coax cable

The standard Ethernet over Coax products are point-to-point. There is one locally powered transceiver at the camera and one locally powered receiver at the control room.
It is perfect for small systems, but it is not efficient for systems featuring many IP cameras.
A better and more unique solution is to have a PoE switch with 4 x 10/100Tx PoE ports and 1 x coax uplink port at the camera.
This provides greatly enhanced legacy coax network system leverage, allowing easy and cost-effective IP camera upgrade.

Ethernet distance issue

With Ethernet/PoE, repeaters must be installed every 100m. For the installer, that typically means sourcing power in odd locations throughout the facility, in order to create proper power supply points for repeaters. This usually involves a lockable closet and units with power supplies inside.
Ethernet over Coax devices could be powered from PoE switch and deliver PoE up to 300m.
There are no repeaters and the problem is solved without impacting the budget.
