Utilise Your Analogue Investment To Ease Your Move To IP

The rise of IP technology pushed ahead the video surveillance industry. The use of existing coax infrastructure to transmit IP HD video is the easy way to upgrade your system to the next level.

Many companies are reluctant to make the move from analogue to digital video surveillance. They are afraid that migration to IP simply won't fit their budget.
Ethernet over Coax technology takes advantage of the re-use of legacy coax cable, and reduced labour, which can be as much as 25 percent of the cost of an IP upgrade.
The advantages of Ethernet over a coax solution is simplicity of design and application. Installation is easy, data reliable and everyone saves money.

Easy PoE and IP extension over Coax cable.

  • 10/100 Mbps transmission rate
  • Distance up to 2 km
  • PoE and PoE+ support
  • 1, 4 or 8 channel solution
  • Active or Passive solution
  • Power consumption 1.25W per port
  • Operation temperature 0 to 55°C

Migration on Your Own Terms.

  • Re-use Existing Coaxial Cables
  • 30W High Power Support
  • Multiple IP cameras over one coax cable
  • Cost-effective
  • Increase efficiency
  • Easy installation
  • Outdoor usage

For those wanting a little more.
Flexibility, cost-effective, simplicity and seamlessness are all benefits associated with an Ethernet over Coax solution

Multiple IP cameras over one coax cable

The standard Ethernet over Coax products are point-to-point. There is one locally powered transceiver at the camera and one locally powered receiver at the control room.
It is perfect for small systems, but it is not efficient for systems featuring many IP cameras.
A better and more unique solution is to have a PoE switch with 4 x 10/100Tx PoE ports and 1 x coax uplink port at the camera.
This provides greatly enhanced legacy coax network system leverage, allowing easy and cost-effective IP camera upgrade.

Ethernet distance issue

With Ethernet/PoE, repeaters must be installed every 100m. For the installer, that typically means sourcing power in odd locations throughout the facility, in order to create proper power supply points for repeaters. This usually involves a lockable closet and units with power supplies inside.
Ethernet over Coax devices could be powered from PoE switch and deliver PoE up to 300m.
There are no repeaters and the problem is solved without impacting the budget.

Simple installation

Ethernet over Coax products provide an easy-to-connect, transparent network that is very simple to use, reliable, and affords seamless integration between existing coax and the Ethernet backbone.
The solution can be a simple design and the application is even more simple. Installation is easy, data is robust and reliable, and everyone saves money.
Ethernet over Coax technology will enable more installers to approach an IP migration project with a new set of financial and installation options.
